Each school year several days are set aside for teacher and administrator Professional Development (PD). This is important time designated for learning new skills to help teachers and administrators within the classroom as well as interpersonally with colleagues. WCF Events (formally Windy City Fieldhouse) has several team building event programs that are sure fire ways to get school groups engaged and motivated while instilling lasting lessons for teamwork, communication, group problem solving and other professional development skills. Best of all, these activities are fun and high energy resulting in a memorable day of learning and fun!
- Team Challenge – WCF’s classic team building program where guests are split into teams that compete head-to-head in a rotational competition. Each station is a game that focuses on different professional development topics like communication, group problem solving and more!
- Scavenger Hunts – Explore the sights and sounds of Chicago on this whirlwind scavenger hunt adventure! Teams must come up with a strategy to solve clues and complete the most missions in the allotted time. Great lessons for time management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Mousetrap Race Car Challenge – Innovation meets creative thinking. Groups must think outside the box to design and build a race car out of an old-fashioned mousetrap and other office supplies.
- Cake Boss Challenge – Teams are tasked with decorating a cake based on a theme – usually the school’s values and goals for the year. A great way to get creative, build camaraderie and boost team spirit!
- Pub Trivia – Put on your thinking caps and work together in this trivia competition. A perfect ice breaker activity, adding value as entertainment during a meal or as a standalone event. Customize trivia rounds for engaging educational content like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Black History Month and more!
- Field Day Summer Picnic – Combine the great outdoors with team building activities! Host a series of challenging stations followed by a laid-back summer picnic where colleagues chat and get to know one another outside of school. It’s the best of both worlds!
