Protect the Crown

Protect the Crown Challenge is an engineering adventure! Teams are tasked with building a simple firing machine to take down enemy castles while simultaneously building their own castle structure to protect their crown from enemy fire. Teams must divide and conquer to accomplish both goals before the end of the allotted time, at which point the battles begin! Taking turns, each team fires their catapult, trebuchet or other simple firing machine at the enemy castle in an attempt to knock it down and take their enemy’s crown. This activity combines creativity, out of the box thinking and group problem solving into an engaging medieval competition that is fun for everyone!
