Event Spotlight: Holiday
"Mission Impossible"
Scavenger Hunt
for a Cause |
Recently, a Fortune 500 company in Chicago came to Windy City Fieldhouse (WCF) looking to combine a team building
event with charitable giving. They wanted to create a fun holiday event for their employees while also benefiting
a good cause. In response, WCF approached Aspire of Illinois to create a fully-customized Holiday "Mission
Impossible" Scavenger Hunt built around Aspire's "Secret Santa" program. Aspire of Illinois is a nationally
recognized Chicago social service agency providing people with developmental disabilities quality lifetime support.
Through Aspire's "Secret Santa" program, hundreds of families and disabled adults are provided gifts each year.
On December 5th, 2006, seven teams began WCF's fully customized Holiday "Mission Impossible" Scavenger Hunt. Teams
raced throughout Chicago, solving clues and purchasing gifts from wish lists they received from local families through
Aspire of Illinois. At the end, each team wrapped their gifts and presented them to representatives from
Aspire. Over $10,000 was donated, providing gifts for six families and twelve individuals this Holiday Season.

"It's hard to describe how much this is going to mean to the families we serve," said Bonnie A. of Aspire
to the participants of the event. "Sometimes Big Business gets a bad rap...but this is just incredible
generosity. Not only financially, but with your time." |
