Mid-Winter Class Schedule

Basketball Academy Ages 6-16

BASKETBALL 101

The perfect class for young athletes who are looking to move beyond basic instruction and ready to more thoroughly understand the game. Players enhance their skills by learning more detailed offensive points of the game such as setting screens and moving without the ball. Players are also introduced to defensive aspects of the game including proper defensive stance and concepts such as zone and man to man defense. Players develop their shot using proper form and mechanics to be more effective from further distances from the basket. All instruction is game/drill oriented with scrimmages played every day. BASKETBALL 202

Athletes develop existing skills with the focus on setting and achieving personal goals. Classes are conducted with various guard/post-work to develop passing, shooting and dribbling in game situations. Defensive instruction includes man to man defense, denying the ball, help-line and boxing out. Full court scrimmages are played every day along with specialized instruction. Boys and Girls (Ages 9-12). Register Online

ADVANCED BASKETBALL SKILLS

This fast-paced, skill-based class pushes players to compete at their highest levels, focusing on court conceptions and spacing, how to utilize skill maneuvers and how to properly dissect offensive and defensive sets. Participants receive one-on-one fine tuning of shooting mechanics, dribbling technique, andb ody control. While there is not a prerequisite to attend this class, participants should have extensvie exposure to the game and be willing to participate in a fast-pace, full court experience. Boys and Girls (Ages 13-16). Register Online

Section 1: Thursday 5:30-6:30PM $175

* 9 Week Class. All other classes without an asterisk are 10 weeks.

ALL CLASS TIMES AND HOURS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. NO REFUNDS. NO MAKE-UP CLASSES ORREFUNDS OFFERED FOR MISSED CLASSES. AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE EQUAL TO 10% OF THE CLASS FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL CANCELLATONS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SESSION. REGISTRATION FOR CURRENTLY ENROLLED WCSA KIDS STARTS IMMEDIATELY. OPEN REGISTRATION FOR MID-WINTER CLASSES STARTS DECEMBER 26.
