Tot Sports (Ages 2 - 6)

 

TINY TOTS SPORTS

Children are introduced to the fundamentals of sports such as soccer, t-ball, basketball, tennis and other sports and group games. The goal is to provide the opportunity for each child to develop motor skills and nurture his/her growth socially and emotionally through teamwork and good sportsmanship.  Boys and Girls (Ages 3-5).  Register Online      


LUNCH & PLAY

Children are introduced to sports such as soccer,  t-ball, basketball, kickball and other sports and group games. The goal is to provide the opportunity for each child to develop motor skills and nurture his/her growth socially through teamwork and good sportsmanship. PARENT TOT SPORTS

Parents are integral parts of helping their tots develop basic sports movement and motor skills.  Motor skills activities focus on hand/eye and hand/foot coordination.  Sports equipment and instruction are provided to help guide your child through an introduction to organized sports and improved motor skills.  Boys and Girls (Ages 2-4).  Register Online  


JUNIOR SOCCER ACADEMY (POWERED BY NIKE)   

Junior Soccer Academy is a new and exciting soccer program for children starting out or already involved in soccer. This program uses age-appropriate drills and exercises to teach players kicking, ball control, dribbling, shooing and more.  Classes focus on FUNdamentals that are crucial for every budding soccer player.  Boys and Girls (Ages 3-6).   Register Online

 

LIL’ DRIBBLERS

Children are introduced to the game of basketball in a safe, fun and exciting environment. Our curriculum uses age appropriate activities and games specifically designed to increase balance, body awareness, motor skills and hand eye coordination. These factors are important in the overall development of children. The Lil’ Dribblers program includes exclusively designed equipment tailored to enhance the basketball experience for each participant. The program challenges children to develop new cognitive, physical and social skills. In addition, each child will experience social interaction with both children and adults in a fun environment. As children progress through the program, they acquire listening skills and have a fun introduction to following directions. These skills will benefit your child on the court, in the classroom but most importantly throughout their life! Boys and Girls (Ages 2-6).  Register Online

    

      

Youth Sports (Ages 5-12)

 

ALL SPORTS

This class features a new sport each week. Some of the sports taught and played include soccer, kickball, baseball, tennis and basketball. Children have the opportunity to acquire new skills and develop confidence in games they have played in previous classes. Boys and Girls (Ages 5-9).  Register Online  

 

DOUBLE PLAY

In this program, kids alternate each week beween two spors.  Players develop skills and fundamentals while experiencing game play in an instructional and exciting setting.  Boys and Girls (Ages 7-10). Register Online

 

TRIPLE PLAY

This class features three sports: football, soccer and basketball. Participants develop skills associated with each sport and have opportunities to use these skills in game situations. Emphasis is placed on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship. Boys and Girls (Ages 5-9).  Register Online  

 

INDOOR FLOOR HOCKEY LEAGUE

Hockey fundamentals as well as game strategy, teamwork, sportsmanship and safety are stressed each week.  Participants are required to have the following equipment: hockey stick, helmet, shin guards & gloves.  Each team member receives a t-shirt.  Tournament trophies are awarded at the conclusion of the season.  Come out and have some fun!. Football Academy (Ages 5-12)

 

JUNIOR FLAG FOOTBALL

Come join in on the fun and start playing the nation’s most loved game! Players are introduced to stance, receiving, rushing, blocking and defense. Each week ends with a scrimmage encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. Players always get to play either receiver or running back each week. Games focus on fundamentals and field concepts, as well as positions and mechanics. No equipment necessary! Boys and Girls (Ages 5-8). Register Online 

 

INDOOR FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE   

The Indoor Flag Football league provides participants with knowledge of basic offensive and defensive football strategy. Each participant learns the basics of the game with the opportunity to put their skills and knowledge to use in a positive competitive environment. The first two weeks consist of practice sessions in which participants learn pass patterns, formations, offensive plays, defensive sets and coverage schemes. After the initial two weeks of practice, teams are assigned. Through the course of the season, each team plays games against other evenly matched teams. Each team is coached by a member of the Sports Academy staff, teaching players about the game throughout the season. Boys and Girls (Ages 8-12).   Register Online

VOLLEYBALL TRAINING CLINICS (Ages 8-14) 

This program teaches basic and intermediate skills of volleyball including techniques and game strategies. Participants have the opportunity to learn and play each position. Proper setting, bumping and serving techniques are stressed. Games and scrimmages are played each week.  Boys and Girls (Ages 8-14).  (Classes are available by request (minimum of 6 kids required). Basketball Academy (Ages 6-12)

 

5-ON-5 BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The 5-on-5 league exposes youth players to team dynamics and develops their intermediate and advanced skill levels. Through game play and organized practices, players learn new techniques and improve existing skill levels. Each player is assigned a Coach who works hands on with the players and their teammates to encourage team discipline, proper fundamentals and core concepts of the game. Teams meet for two hours each week. Schedules are provided the first week of the season, 2/28. Evaluations will be held on 2/21 from 5-7PM.
LEAGUE & TEAM ORGANIZATION: Teams are separated by age into two divisions: Beginners (Ages 5-7) & Juniors (Ages 8-11). Coaches and players are randomly assigned to teams. One player request may be made per person, but no players are guaranteed to be on the same team. Teams consist of 8-10 players with equal playing time required. Teams failing to comply with the shared playing time rule will be penalized. Teams play 9 weeks of regular season and two weeks of playoffs. Games are held Friday evenings between 5-7PM. Each team meets for a one hour practice prior to game time to work on drills, philosophies and teamwork. League fee includes a jersey and a medal at the end of the season for each player. February 21 - May 9

 

3-ON-3 PICKUP BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Players develop core fundamentals and an advanced skill set in this team oriented 3-on-3 league.  The league focuses on indicidual as well as team play, with a concentration on attacking he rim on offense; how to effectively set and utilize screens; and the concept of pulling the defense to set a pass.  Players receive a minimum of two games per week.  Boys & Girls (Ages 8-12)  Register Online


BASKETBALL 101

The perfect class for young athletes looking to move beyond basic instruction and understand the game more thoroughly.  Players enhance their skills by learning more detailed offensive points of the game such as setting screens and moving without the ball.  Players are also introduced to defensive aspects of the game including proper defensive stance and concepts such as zone and man to man defense.  Players develop their shot using proper form and mechanics to be more effective from further distances from the basket.  All instruction is game/drill oriented with scrimmages played every day.  Boys & Girls (Ages 6-8).  Register Online  

 

BASKETBALL 102

The next step in basketball instruction, this class will build upon the fundamentals taught in the 101 class. A slightly faster paced environment will be geared around competitive play, encouraging aggressive tactics such as attacking the basket, boxing out, and on ball defense. Players should have a firm knowledge of the basic rules and be able to dribble comfortably in order to succeed in the class. Players will be challenged to expand their abilities and scrimmages will be held weekly. Boys and Girls (Ages 7-9).  Register Online

 

BASKETBALL 201

Athletes develop current basic skills with the focus on setting and achieving personal goals. Classes are conducted with various guard/post-work to develop passing, shooting and dribbling in game situations. Defense instruction include man to man defense, denying the ball, help-line, and boxing out. Full court scrimmages every day along with specialized instruction. Boys and Girls (Ages 8-10).  Register Online

Soccer Academy (Ages 6-13)

 

SOCCER PRESEASON TRAINING CLINIC     

Coaches work with players that have already been exposed to basic soccer skills. In the next stage of their progression, players increase their playing stamina and speed on and off the ball. The clinic’s specific technique training involves strength and placement shooting, landing on shooting foot, precision passing, settling the ball with various body parts, properly heading the ball and other offensive and defensive skills. Most importantly, players are taught game concepts that improve their decision-making. Boys and Girls (Ages 5-12).  Register Online

February 21 - March 21

 

SOCCER SKILLS CLINIC 101

Players are introduced to the fundamentals of soccer tactics such as passing the ball, offensive moves, defensive moves and keeping the ball and taking the ball away from the opposing team.  Players learn to score and prevent goals.  Physical endurance and fitness are emphasized while touching the ball.  At this age the focus starts to change from simple games to organized, tactical, and competitive games.  Boys and Girls (Ages 6-9).  Register Online  

 

SOCCER SKILLS CLINIC 201

Participants engage in an up tempo game-like atmosphere where they develop team play and advanced footwork. Games will be held at the end of every class with a focus on control, possession, and spacing. BASEBALL SKILLS CLINIC

Players work on technique and enhancing form in this comprehensive skills clinic geared to get you ready for the spring baseball season.  Players work on throwing mechanics, batting stance, bat positioning and speed, base running, fielding and pitching.  Players should bring their own gloves, and be ready for a fun, fast paced learning environment.  Boys and Girls(Ages 8-12).  Register Online
